Before you give, know the facts.
Here is how the work operates, what this website does and what you should check before making a donation.
Questions and answers
Money
Where does my money go?
This website links to an external WhyDonate appeal, “Let’s give these dogs the best Christmas they’ve ever had”, for the goal of 20 dogs safe by Christmas. Read that appeal to confirm its current purpose, fundraising status and any fees. Do not assume a donation made there funds every rescue programme shown on this site.
Is my donation secure?
You complete payment on WhyDonate, not on this website. Before paying, check the campaign URL, payment details and terms displayed by the platform.
Is the club a registered charity, and are donations tax-deductible?
French Bulldog Club is not presented here as a registered charity. Do not assume a contribution qualifies for tax relief; check the applicable rules in your country.
The club
Who runs this?
I am Alek. I lead the rescue work, and other people help when they can. I used to breed French Bulldogs, and I now focus on helping those in need.
Why French Bulldogs?
I used to breed them, so I know them. They are bred to be sold and too often abandoned when they stop being profitable. Someone has to be there for them.
What happens to a dog after the rescue?
The immediate priority is safety and an appropriate veterinary assessment. Treatment, recovery and the route to a suitable home depend on the individual dog. Read the Stories page for documented examples.
Why are you asking for donations now?
Veterinary bills and rescue needs are unpredictable. I have often covered costs myself, but some cases need wider community support.
Giving
How do the tees work?
Each giving tier comes with a thank-you tee. Give the tier amount on WhyDonate and type it in yourself, because WhyDonate cannot link an amount to a tee. Then email woof@frenchbulldogclub.net with your tier, tee colour, size and the name on your gift. We ship worldwide, and we pay the shipping.
How can I help if I can’t donate?
Share a real rescue story, pass on an accurate missing-dog notice, or connect us with someone who can help. It costs nothing to make sure the right person sees a dog.
Something else?
Message @frenchie.world or email woof@frenchbulldogclub.net. We reply as capacity allows and cannot provide emergency veterinary advice through this website.
Free wheelchairs
Who can get a free wheelchair?
Dogs with mobility needs can be considered for available equipment. The match depends on a veterinarian’s guidance, suitable sizing and what is currently available.
What do I need to send?
Email woof@frenchbulldogclub.net with photos, a short video, relevant measurements and your veterinarian’s contact details. Please do not send sensitive records publicly. Response times vary.
Do you ship, and who pays?
Shipping destinations, timing and costs are discussed individually if suitable equipment is available.
Do you give spare parts and other gear?
Depending on current supplies, assistance may include wheelchairs, compatible spare parts and protective equipment. Ask what is available before making plans.
Will a wheelchair work for my dog?
A veterinarian should assess whether mobility equipment is appropriate and safe for your dog. Our response cannot replace clinical advice.
Lila
What if I have a tip about Lila?
Send a private message to @frenchie.world with any credible details. Lila is a dark brindle, microchipped female French Bulldog with a white patch on her chest. Please do not publish someone else’s private information.
Do donations pay for the search for Lila?
The donation link on this website opens a separate WhyDonate rescue appeal, not a Lila search fundraiser. Check the appeal description for its precise purpose.
Wall of Love
How do I get my name off the Wall of Love?
If you would like your name removed, message @frenchie.world and identify the entry. We will review and act on the request.
Message me
Still have a question?
Message @frenchie.world. We read incoming messages as capacity permits.
